Launch of the campaign ‘Prevent alcohol damage in your growing child' in Almere.
Parents and children together enter a ‘contract' in which they say NO to alcohol before the age of 16. Parents agree not to offer their children alcohol before that age, and they explain why. Children promise not to drink and they understand that they are thus doing themselves a favour. This is the approach taken in the new phase of the campaign ‘Prevent alcohol damage in your growing child'.

Handing over of the Alcohol contract Parents and Children to the commissioners of Public Health, Youth and Family.
Multi-disciplinary guideline on personality disorders.
An estimated one in ten people in the Netherlands suffers from a personality disorder. Research has shown that these people can virtually make a full recovery through psycho-therapy. Medicines may also be prescribed to support the therapy.
The guideline was developed by a multi-disciplinary working group and has been endorsed by all professional associations involved. The working group also included patients as well as relatives of people suffering from a personality disorder. The outcome is a chapter containing advice about treatment as well as recommendations for professional manner towards people with a personality disorder.
