Launch of www.KopOpOuders.nl. This website (‘Chin up Parents') offers parenting support to parents with mental health or addiction problems. It is a group course and it offers support from professionals attached to the mental health and addiction organisations JellinekMentrum, GGNet, Mondriaan Zorggroep and GGZ Oostbrabant. Identifying with others and sharing experiences are important elements of the website and the course.
Congress ‘Improving knowledge-sharing', Veldhoven.
‘For a change' is the theme of the fourth congress on improving knowledge-sharing. The Trimbos Institute is co-organiser of this bi-annual congress in Veldhoven, attended by more than seven hundred delegates over more than a hundred sessions. Besides Trimbos, the other organisations participating in the Foundation ‘Improving knowledge-sharing' , which organises national congresses on the implementation of innovation in cure, care, prevention and mental health care are: CBO, KNMG, NIGZ, Vilans, NJi, NPCF, the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Sport, NIVEL, LEVV, RIVM Centrum Gezond Leven, KNMP, TNO Kwaliteit van Leven, FMCC and ZonMw.


Concluding conference on Breakthrough project Depression II. The results to date were presented at the conference. 24 teams will operate according to the Multidisciplinary Guideline, the NHG standard of the Dutch College of GPs and the LESA Depression agreement on national primary care collaboration.
The third level institution, Christelijke Hogeschool Windesheim, appoints Carolien Smits as lecturer of Innovation in Geriatric Care. This position focuses on the wishes and needs as well as the competencies of old and new generations of elderly. Smits highlights the areas of home automation (domotics) and e-health, savoir-vivre and happiness.
Launch of www.Sickofit.nl, a special website on drug use and infectious diseases aimed at drug users and addiction care professionals. The website contains information on the most prevalent infectious diseases. Drug users can take a self-test, share their experiences in the forum and send questions by email to a nurse-specialist. It is also possible to make an appointment online for a hepatitis B-vaccination with a public health clinic.
